Dr. Timothy was a late scratching at 10.17am due to illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Child's Dream.
Heard it Before was slow to begin. Photon Jewel and Zatmine collided soon after the start. Child's Dream crossed out approaching the first turn checking Heard It Before. Zatmine and Chucka Bone collided entering the front straight checking Chucka Bone. Akina Akeira was checked off Chucka Bone on the fourth turn.
Heard It Before was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
