Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Whitford the trainer of Zambora Dynamo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zambora Dynamo last raced on 12/07/15. Mr. Whitford stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a archillies tendon injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Moles the trainer of Brodie's Mullet regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Brodie's Mullet last raced on 15/08/15. Mr. Moles stated the greyhound was returning from retirement and had changed trainer.
A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Ryder.
Nidge was quick to begin. Aston Ryder was slow to begin. Misty Febey, On Flyer and Brodie's Mullet collided soon after the start checking Misty Febey. On Flyer and Brodie's Mullet collided approaching the first turn checking Brodie's Mullet. Nitro Injected and Misty Febey collided on the first turn checking Nitro Injected. Misty Febey and On Flyer collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. On Flyer was checked off Black Bindi approaching the home turn. On Flyer raced wide entering the home straight.
Brodie's Mullet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left stifle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
