Steward's Report
Viper Venom was slow to begin.
Bobby Ringo crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Our Selynya, Sand Slide and Viper Venom. Hoedown checked off Bobby Ringo entering the back straight. Bobby Ringo, Hoedown and Our Selynya collided approaching the second turn severely checking Hoedown. Bella's Girl checked off Sand Slide approaching the home turn.
Hoedown was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps, the left chest muscle and spike wounds to the left front foot and the left hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Mahogany Spirit - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S.Coates regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Our Selynya. Stewards directed that Our Selynya be boxed first in future events.
