Heineken Boy was very slow to begin (2.5L). Lukey Boy, Coast and Macaloney were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Brazen Blue checked off Abaloney on the first turn and collided with Mercy Me, resulting in Brazen Blue and Mercy being severely checked. Brazen Fool and Lukey Boy collided on the first turn, checking Brazen Fool.
Brazen Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil and spike wounds to the right hind, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
