Dynamite Richo was slow to begin. Tally Ho Jack went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Lethal Gun and Nulla Girl collided approaching the first turn. Lethal Gun and Dontron collided on the first turn. Nulla Girl and Lonnie Lad collided on the first turn, checking Nulla Girl, and severely checking Alpha David, which raced wide as a result. Dynamite Richo checked off Lonnie Lad on the home turn. Dynamite Richo, Nulla Girl and Tally Ho Jack collided approaching the winning post.
Tally Ho Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
