A pre-race sample was taken from Duomo Bale.
Dyna Rapidash was quick to begin. Greysynd Emma was slow to begin. Greysynd Emma and Trail Blazing collided soon after the start. Tiggerlong Katut, Wadelock Latte and Noosa Jet collided soon after the start checking Tiggerlong Katut and Wadelock Latte. Tiggerlong Katut, Wadelock Latte and Greysynd Emma collided approaching the first turn checking Tiggerlong Katut. Greysynd Emma, Wadelock Latte and Noosa Jet collided on the first turn checking Greysynd Emma and Wadelock Latte. Trail Blazing and Immortal Bear collided several times on the first turn checking Immortal Bear. Noosa Jet checked off Immortal Bear on the second turn. Noosa Jet checked off Greysynd Emma entering the back straight checking Wadelock Latte and Tiggerlong Katut.
Duomo Bale which tired over the concluding stages was was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
