Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Tharle the trainer of Energy Force regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Energy Force last raced on 25 August 2015. Mr. Tharle stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change in trainer.
A pre-race sample was taken from Energy Force.
Loose Affair, Irish Connection, Phil's In Luck and Lucky Liam collided soon after the start checking Irish Connection and Loose Affair. Blingzilla crossed to the rail soon after the start. Phil's In Luck, Star Lord and Energy Force collided approaching the first turn. Star Lord and Irish Connection collided on the first turn checking Star Lord, Loose Affair, Amaroo My Girl and Irish Connection.
