A pre-race sample was taken from Pappa Gallo.
Black Pontiac was slow to begin. Explosive Angel and Red Superman collided soon after the start. Thunderlips, Rashad Reason, Gamilla Go Girl and Red Superman collided approaching the first turn checking Gamilla Go Girl, Rashad Reason and Pappa Gallo. Black Pontiac and Red Superman collided on the first turn checking Red Superman and Gamilla Go Girl. Red Superman galloped on Gamilla Go Girl approaching the home turn, Red Superman fell as a result. Zigstar and Thunderlips collided in the home straight. Pappa Gallo raced wide in the home straight.
Red Superman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle and right calf, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
