Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Said, the trainer of Casanova regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Casanova last raced on 22nd September, 2016. Mr Said stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Casanova.
Ava's Shadow and Casanova collided soon after the start. Media Street and Proven Mona collided approaching the first turn, checking Proven Mona. Media Street checked off Blazing Lane approaching the first turn. Ava's Shadow, Proven May and Blazing Lane collided on the first turn, checking Proven May. Proven May checked off Blazing Lane on the home turn, checking See Him Run. Proven May and See Him Run collided entering the home straight.
