A pre race sample was taken from Kalani Klare.
Smashing Serena and Chichi Bale collided soon after the start, checking Smashing Serena. Chichi Bale and Gold Vein collided approaching the first turn. Kalani Klare galloped on the heels of Iona Everest on the first turn, checking Iona Everest. Gold Vein and Chichi Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking Chichi Bale. Iona Everest checked off Gold Vein entering the home straight. Chichi Bale raced wide in the home straight. Kalani Klare raced wide approaching the winning post.
Chichi Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured left and right thighs, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
