Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Cosmic Odette.
Raweenie and Unmid Bale were quick to begin. Cosmic Odette and Shakey Jet collided approaching the first turn, checking Shakey Jet. Shakey Jet and Iona Michelle collided approaching the first turn. Spring To Wyn and Raweenie collided on the home turn. Iona Michelle and Swirling Pearls collided on the home turn. Cosmic Odette marred Spring To Wyn in the home straight, checking Spring To Wyn and Raweenie. Swirling Pearls checked off Spring To Wyn approaching the winning post.
Cosmic Odette was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Frusher, the trainer of the greyhound Cosmic Odette regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Cosmic Odette with marring. Mr Frusher pleaded guilty to the charge, Cosmic Odette was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
