Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Carlstrom, the representative of the greyhound Tiger Ty Vic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tiger Ty Vic last raced on 29th September 2016. Mr. Carlstrom stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right front webbing injury. Mr. Carlstrom also declared a new weight of 32.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tiger Ty Vic last raced at 30.9kgs.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Borg, the representative of the greyhound Scarlet Tru Blu regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Scarlet Tru Blu last raced on 14th October 2016. Mr. Borg stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennel. Mr. Borg also decalred a new weight of 31.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Scarlet Tru Blu last raced at 33.4kgs.
Sweet Shiraz, Charlie Haze and Tiger Girl were quick to begin. Scarlet Tru Blu and Sunset Kay were slow to begin. Starlit Dragon crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Tiger Ty Vic. Tiger Girl crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Charlie Haze. Charlie Haze checked off Sunset Kay on the first turn. Charlie Haze galloped on the heels of Sweet Shiraz on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Scarlet Tru Blu checked off Tiger Ty Vic on the first turn and fell as a result. Sweet Shiraz and Charlie Haze collided approaching the home turn. Spotted Opal checked off Tiger Ty Vic on the home turn. Sunset Kay and Starlit Dragon collided several times approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Scarlet Tru Blu was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
