Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Flying Marcia upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Le Doyen was a late scratching at 2.46pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured right wrist, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa the trainer of Flying Marcia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Flying Marcia last raced on 19/07/16. Mr. Formosa stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.
A pre-race sample was taken from Vienna Pink.
Stylish Chief and Vienna Pink were quick to begin. Sir Fancy was slow to begin. Stylish Chief and Flying Marcia collided on the first turn checking Dark Avenger which stumbled. Stylish Chief and Flying Marcia collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Flying Marcia raced wide on the second turn checking Stylish Chief. Stylish Chief and Flying Marcia collided on the home turn.
