Mr. P. Borradale the trainer of Corroboree declared a new weight of 35.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Corroboree last raced at 34.2kg.

Special Member, Dr. Flannigan and Label This were slow to begin.  Special Member was checked off Dr. Peregrine soon after the start.  Corroboree and Destructo Rat collided on the first turn checking Destructo Rat and severely checking Dr. Peregrine which stumbled checking Label This.  Corroboree, Bossy Caleb and Claude Van Keats collided entering the back straight.  Special Member and Destructo Rat collided entering the back straight checking Destructo Rat.  Special Member and Dr. Flannigan collided on the second turn checking Special Member.  Special Member raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Label This was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small laceration to the webbing on the right front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Bare Bones and Say Nothing collided entering the back straight checking Say Nothing. Oakmont Blonde and All About Arby collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Say Nothing and Snow Matter collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Say Nothing.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Neocleous the representative of Johnny Bullet regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Johnny Bullet last raced on 12/09/16.  Mr. Neocleous stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right stopper injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa the trainer of Flying Marcia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Flying Marcia  last raced on 19/07/16.  Mr. Formosa stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Summer Kate trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.44 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of  a head.  Summer Kate was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Borradale the trainer of Wallet Wizard regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Wallet Wizard last raced on 25/06/16.  Mr. Borradale stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Wallet Wizard trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.44 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10..5 lengths.  Wallet Wizard was cleared.
