Gomer Bale contacted the running rail approaching the home turn, checking Pietro Bale, and severely checking Gomer Bale. Gomer Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left side of the head. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Delbridge, the trainer of Gomer Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
