Exit Strategy was quick to begin.  Midnight Minx, Dr. Cadenza, Hello Nimble and Master McEvoy were slow to begin.  Dr. Cadenza galloped on the heels of Hello Nimble on the first turn, checking Dr. Cadenza, Hello Nimble and Master McEvoy.  Magic Myer and Exit Strategy collided on the first turn, checking Exit Strategy.  Liscoyle Lady and Magic Myer collided approaching the home turn, checking Liscoyle Lady.  Midnight Minx checked off Liscoyle Lady approaching the home turn.  Midnight Minx checked off Dr. Cadenza on the home turn.  Midnight Minx and Exit Strategy collided on the home turn, checking Exit Strategy and severely checking Midnight Minx.  Hello Nimble raced wide on the home turn.  Dr. Cadenza and Liscoyle Lady collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs P Andrews, the trainer of Down Under regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.Down Under last raced on 3 September 2016. Mrs Andrews stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.

Roger's Dreamin' was quick to begin.  In A Pickle, Browning Auto and Special Member were slow to begin.  Down Under and Mandela Sun collided approaching the first turn, checking Down Under which stumbled as a result.  Down Under contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.  Browning Auto and Lorna Olive collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Browning Auto and Lorna Olive collided approaching the home turn, checking Browning Auto.  Special Member and Dr. Shanice collided in the home straight, checking Dr. Shance.

Down Under was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind paw and bruising to the left thigh, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dane Daisy was a late scratching at 6.19pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Showin' Attitude, Ends Well and Aston Viva were quick to begin.  Dusty Leads, Terrace and Hurricane Craig were slow to begin.  Dusty Leads and Terrace collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Terrace.  Dusty Leads raced wide approaching the home turn.

It was noted that the muzzle on Showin' Attitude became dislodged during the running of the event.

Bella Ha Ha was quick to begin.  Retention and Dr. Illuminate were slow to begin.  Top Shot Jack eased soon after the start.  Top Shot Jack crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Dr. Illuminate.  Top Shot Jack galloped on the heels of Jimmy's Joken soon after the start, checking Jimmy's Joken and Top Shot Jack and severely checking Retention and Dr. Illuminate.  Peter's Pride and Bella Ha Ha collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Peter's Pride galloped on the heels of Bella Ha Ha approaching the home turn, checking Bella Ha Ha and severely checking Peter's Pride.  Peter's Pride contacted the running rail approaching the home

Top Shot Jack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W Majoor, the trainer of the greyhound Top Shot Jack regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Top Shot Jack with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. W Majoor pleaded not guilty to the charge, Top Shot Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brother Leo was quick to begin.  Bird Special crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Shep.  I'm So Late and Bird Special collided on the first turn.

Lakeview Harley was quick to begin.  Pictures Pearce was slow to begin.  Black Salve, Off The Hip, ZIpping Zeus and Gully Fever collided soon after the start.  Pictures Pearce faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Walk Woody Walk checked off Black Salve on the firt turn.  Off The Hip checked off Gully Fever on the second turn.  Walk Woody Walk and Black Salve collided in the back straight.  Zipping Zeus and Mizuki collided approaching the home turn, checking Mizuki.  Lakeview Harley checked off Zipping Zeus on the home turn.

Pictures Pearce was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Saturday Sip was quick to begin.  Simply Stealth, Far Out Indian and Sanz Marlow were slow to begin.  Taabinga Fella was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Far Out Indian checked off Johnny Scull approaching the first turn.  Far Out Indian, Johnny Scull and Sanz Marlow collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds and causing Sanz Marlow to race wide.  Simply Stealth galloped on the heels of Crimson Sally on the first turn, checking both greyhounds and causing Simply Stealth to race wide.

Henry Lee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward Mr  A Kleeven did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Six Green Thumbs and Tito Mojito were quick to begin.  Louie Neveelk was slow to begin.  Still The One and Eily West collided soon after the start.  Still The One, Walk On By and Taabinga Flash collided on the first turn, checking Taabinga Flash and severely checking Walk On By, causing Still The One to fall.  Eily West and Louie Neveelk collided on the first turn.  Eily West and Taabinga Flash collided on the home turn.  Six Green Thumbs and Cement Socks collided entering the home straight.

Still The One was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle and bruising to the left thigh, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr I  Collins, the trainer of Pie Problem regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Pie Problem last raced on 20 October 2016. Mr Collins stated that the greyhound was returning from being spelled.

Showtime Sally and Lakeview Lyn were quick to begin.  Viewing was slow to begin.  Midnight Kebab, Pie Problem and Barra Johnson collided approaching the first turn.  Power Burst, Cracking Joe and Lakeview Lyn collided on the first turn,checking Cracking Joe and severely checking Power Burst which stumbled, checking Midnight Kebab and Pie Problem.  Viewing raced wide on the first turn.

Ripper, Daintree King and Coco Marlow were slow to begin.  Black Bindi crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Sweet Barbados.  Dr. Luvdisc, Honey Fantasy and Black Bindi collided on the first turn, checking Honey Fantasy.  Dr. Luvdisc and Black Bindi collided entering the home straight.  Daintree King, Honey Fantasy and Coco Marlow collided on the second turn, checking Honey Fantasy and severely checking Daintree King.  Ripper and Daintree King collided on the second turn, checking Ripper which subsequently tailed off.  Sweet Barbados and Coco Marlow collided on the home turn.

Ripper was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
