Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Interligi the trainer of Inter Elesha regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Inter Elesha last raced on 21/09/16.  Mr. Interligi stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following being on season.

Inter Elesha was quick to begin.  Bushman's  Bar, Zipping Bronze and Zero Five were slow to begin.  She's A Beaut and Lucinda collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Bronco was checked off Inter Elesha on the first turn.  She's A Beaut was checked off Inter Elesha approaching the home turn.  She's A Beaut and Lucinda collided entering the home straight.  Inter Elesha, She's A Beaut and Lucinda collided in the home straight.

She's A Beaut was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Destini Montana and Acrostar were slow to begin.  In A Minnie was checked off Bowon Approach soon after the start.  Sultan's Boy was checked off Bowon Approach approaching the first turn.  Bowon Approach and Destini Montana collided approaching the home turn.  Bowon Approach, Destini Montana and Sultan's Boy collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Pattinson the trainer of Lizzie Fields regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lizzie Fields last raced on 12/10/16.  Mr. Pattinson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left metatarsal injury.

Remember Jess and Princess Briana were slow to begin.  King Of Diamonds and Magenta Gold collided soon after the start checking Princess Briana.  Magenta Gold and Kokoda Dreamin' collided soon after the start.  Kokoda Dreamin' and My Alibi collided on the first turn checking Lizzie Fields and severley checking Princess Briana.  My Alibi was checked off King Of Diamonds in the home straight.

Princess Briana was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left deltoid muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mint Boy was a late scratching at 5.32pm due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. R. Clark was fined the sum of $100.

Shytown Hussler was slow to begin.  Shytown Hussler was checked off Soda Street soon after the street.  Dewana Express and Soda Street collided approaching the first turn checking Dewana Express.  Two Dollar Pots and Dewana Express collided on the home turn.

Dash Ta Fame and Ima Reality were slow to begin.  Dash Ta Fame was checked off Precipitation soon after the start.  Black Pontiac was checked off Spirited Quality approaching the first turn.  Black Pontiac and Spirited Quality collided on the first turn.  Black Pontiac and Ima Reality collided approaching the home turn.

A  pre-race sample was taken from Bubba's Silvia upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.

Stocktake, Bubba's Silvia and Mepunga Rosie were quick to begin.  Bro Sam's Hook was slow to begin.  Barroom Counsel and Aston Harvey collided on the first turn checking Barroom Counsel.  Azurite and Bro Sam's Hook collided on the first turn checking Azurite and causing Bro Sam's Hook to race wide.  Azurite was checked off Barroom Counsel in the back straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Unbackable upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.  A pre-race sample was subsequently taken.

Mars Rising, Aztec Flash, Blazing Thunder and Unbackable were slow to begin.  Aztec Flash faltered and brushed the running rail approaching the first turn.  Slick Maggie, Blazing Thunder and Unbackable collided on the first turn.

Aztec Flash was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sleek Master, Aqua Cheetah and Zabdon Ferrari were slow to begin.  Aqua Cheetah and Zabdon Ferrari collided soon after the start.  Super Sook and Aston Dee Bee collided approaching the first turn.  Aston Dee Bee, Zabdon Ferrari and Super Sook collided on the first turn.  Aqua Cheetah and Super Sook collided entering the home straight.

Roland View, Go Go Guru, Kodason and Celtic Charm were slow to begin.  Fine Flynn and Invasion collided approaching the first turn checking Invasion.  Fine Flynn and Gotham Queen collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to fall severely checking Invasion.  Knew It and Kodason collided approaching the home turn checking Knew It.

Gotham Queen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained concussion and an injured left shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Fine Flynn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture of the right radius and ulna and was humanely euthanased.

A sample was taken from Roland View - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Selleck the representative of Prince Scarlet regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Prince Scarlet last raced on 24/10/16.  Mrs. Selleck stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right shoulder injury. 

Prince Scarlet and Burnsy's Sam were slow to begin.  Shades Of Sassy, Rido's Ace and Almani Elite collided approaching the first turn checking Rido's Ace.  Almani Elite and Phillip Keeping collided on the first turn checking Almani Elite.  No Road and Invienna collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Invienna faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Burnsy's Sam raced wide entering the home straight.  Rido's Ace and Almani Elite collided in the home straight.

Invienna was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hock, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Shades Of Sassy - winner of the event.

Skye was quick to begin.  Don the Sash, Tuco Salamanca and Fallen Star were slow to begin.  Hunter's Hero, Simentone and Skye collided approaching the first turn checking Simentone.  Simentone, Monster Roar, Don The Sash, Tuco Salamanca, Fallen Star and One More Des collided on the first turn checking Monster Roar, Don The Sash and One More Des, severely checking Tuco Salamanca and Fallen Star and causing Simentone to fall.  Monster Roar and One More Des collided approaching the home turn.  Tuco Salamanca raced wide on the home turn.

Simentone was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left wrist, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
