Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr John Donaldson, the trainer of Bekim Prince regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bekim Prince last raced on 15 August 2016. Mr Donaldson stated that the greyhound had sustained a right hock injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dyna Earp.

Spring Top was quick to begin.

Bekim Prince was slow to begin.

Rubba Wilson and Kansas Lane collided soon after the start.

Dyna Earp, Rubba Wislon and Kansas Lane collided approaching the first turn, checking Rubba Wilson.

Bekim Prince faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result.

Bekim Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade III injury to the left hind gracilis muscle (back). A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Spring Top was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Earp was vetted following the event after it was reported that the greyhound had vomitted post-race in the kennels. It was reported that the greyhound had no apparent injury and it's hydration status was good. No stand down period was imposed.
