Patriotic Star and Miss Fox were quick to begin. Rocksferry Road and Bella Express collided soon after the start. Patriotic Star and Miss Fox collided approaching the first turn checking Patriotic Star. Kirabilli Dawson and Rocksferry Road collided on the first turn. Ginger Warrior checked off Bella Express on the first turn. Kirabilli Dawson and Rocksferry Road collided on the home turn. Ginger Warrior checked off Patriotic Star on the home turn. Fred Of Lidsdale raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
