A pre-race sample was taken from Senni Socks.
Senni Socks was quick to begin. One Mississippi, Heineken Boy and Pingu collided soon after the start. Senni Socks, Heineken Boy and Pingu collided on the first turn checking One Mississippi and severely checking Senni Socks and Fiery Universe. Uncontrollable and Mistel Allen collided approaching the home turn checking Uncontrollable. Heineken Boy and One Mississippi collided approaching the home turn. Uncontrollable raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Uncontrollable was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Courts, the trainer of Reality Storm regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Reality Storm last raced on 2nd June, 2016.
