Bennelong was quick to begin.  Maximum Joan, Brady Bones and Djays Desciple were slow to begin.  Rupcy, Desert General and Captain Risky collided approaching the first turn checking Rupcy.  Umbreon Bale and Bennelong collided on the first turn.  Desert General and Umbreon Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Rupcy, Djays Desciple and Umbreon Bale collided on the home turn.  Desert General checked off Umbreon Bale entering the home straight severely checking Brady Bones.  Rupcy, Djays Desciple and Umbreon Bale collided in the home straight.

Umbreon Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to its right hind toe.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Danger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hind metatarsal fractures (3 & 4) and a laceration to its left hip.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Sisco Rascal and Ben's Talon were quick to begin.  Riverdale Banjo checked off Jack The Fipa approaching the first turn checking Gypsy Bee.  Riverdale Banjo galloped on the heels of Crackerjack Brom on the first turn checking Riverdale Banjo, Crackerjack Brom and Gypsy Bee.  Crackerjack Brom checked off Divino on the home turn.  Crackerjack Brom checked off Jack The Fipa in the home straight.

Fipa Narchi went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Rangiora and Alpha Castor collided approaching the first turn checking Rangiora which contacted the running rail as a result.  Alpha Castor and Destini Laredo collided on the first turn checking Destini Laredo.  Elite Obama and Ferndale Gara collided entering the home straight.  Alpha Castor and Destini Laredo collided in the home straight checking Destini Laredo.

Rangiora was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left elbow.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Hughes, the trainer of Hermoso regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hermoso last raced on 8th September, 2016.  Mr. Hughes stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Courts, the trainer of Reality Storm regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Reality Storm last raced on 2nd June, 2016.  Ms. Courts stated that the greyhound was new to her kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Reality Storm trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 35.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field 5.  The time of the trial was 22.9.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10 lengths. Reality Storm was cleared.

Lettuce Hold On trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 3, weight 24.9kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.89.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25 lengths.  Lettuce Hold On was cleared. 

Yenderra Blue trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 5, weight 34.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.89.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Yenderra Blue was cleared. 

Kokoda Dreamin' trialled over the 400 metre distance  from box 8, weight 33.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.89.  The greyhound won by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Kokoda Dreamin' was cleared.
