Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. R.Camilleri the trainer of Next To Go regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Next To Go last raced on 12th August, 2015 and is returning to racing after being spelled with the owner.
Black Sheep was a late scratching at 2:32pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Next To Go.
Kolora Tess was quick to begin. Shake 'Em Up was slow to begin. Coli's Girl and Mighty Duck collided approaching the first turn, checking Coli's Girl. Senni Socks and Next To Go collided on the first turn, checking Senni Socks. Coli's Girl crossed to the outside and collided with Jack Snapper on the home turn, checking Jack Snapper and severely checking Coli's Girl. Coli's Girl and Jack Snapper collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr G.Daaboul, the handler of Senni Socks regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards charged Mr Daaboul with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Senni Socks. Mr Daaboul pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr Daaboul was found guilty and fined $50.
