Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W Cunningham, the trainer of Lil'Feisty regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lil'Feisty last raced on 20th August, 2015 and is returning to racing after having a season.
Ms M Barber, trainer of Ablazin Mikado declared a new weight of 28.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ablazin Mikado last raced at 29.6kgs.
Ava's Angel was slow to begin. Ablazin Mikado and Dragon's Den collided soon after the start. Nifty Neville and Lil'Feisty collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark. Ava's Angel crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Spy Miss and Roberts. Ablazin Mikado checked off Lil'Feisty at the 250m mark and collided with Despicable Jazz. Ava's Angel, Nifty Neville and Spy Miss collided at the 150m mark, checking Ava's Angel and Spy Miss.
Spy Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lower back soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
