Stewards spoke to Ms N McRae, the trainer of Classy Sparks regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Classy Sparks last raced on 05th August, 2015 and is returning to racing after recovering from a right hock injury.
Ms N McRae, trainer of Classy Sparks declared a new weight of 30.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Classy Sparks last raced at 29.5kgs.
Linny Morris and Jukebox Hero were slow to begin. Jukebox Hero and Classy Sparks collided from the 300m mark until the 250m mark, checking Jukebox Hero. Shirdon Connorae crossed to the rail at the 250m mark, checking Eli's Jet and Stylish Shazz. Linny Morris crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Classy Sparks, checking Jukebox Hero, Classy Sparks and Linny Morris.
