Steward's Report
Jesse's Jet was a late scratching at 2:54pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a sprain to the right wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Fleur De Rose.
Atlas Roughead stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Admiral Bay and Fleur De Rose collided on the first turn checking Fleur De Rose. Mint Boy, Fleur De Rose and Pingu collided on the first turn checking Pingu and Fleur De Rose. Pingu, Fleur De Rose and Atlas Roughead collided approaching the home turn checking Fleur De Rose and Atlas Roughead. Pingu and Fleur De Rose collided in the home straight.
Atlas Roughead was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to its left and right wrists. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
