Ourboy Fab was quick to begin.  Pupetta Maresca severely checked off Camelot Rose approaching the first turn causing Pupetta Maresca to stumble.  Limburg Ava, Ginger Menang and Kashmir Cashe collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Dew, the trainer of Carve regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Carve last raced on 3rd September, 2016.  Ms. Dew stated that the greyhound is returning to racing following an injury to the left triangle.

Claretown Sam and Limburg Dan collided soon after the start checking Claretown Sam.  Secret Choice, Queen Coriander and Splash Da Cash collided approaching the first turn checking Secret Choice and Queen Coriander.  Carve and Ginger Speed collided approaching the first turn checking Ginger Speed. Secret Choice checked off Queen Coriander approaching the first turn.  Carve, Limburg Dan and Splash Da Cash collided approaching the home turn checking Carve and Limburg Dan.  Carve and Secret Choice collided on the home turn.

Maximum Owie was slow to begin.  Kiwi Collision and Let's Run collided soon after the start.  Gunmetal Diva and Push The Trolley collided soon after the start. Let's Run, Kiwi Collision and Push The Trolley collided approaching the first turn checking Push The Trolley and Gunmetal Diva.  Let's Run checked off Ann's Moment on the first turn.  Push The Trolley and Maximum Owie collided approaching the home turn.  Push The Trolley eased in the home straight and collided several times with Gunmetal Diva.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Matthyssen, the representative of the greyhound Push The Trolley regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Push The Trolley was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Push The Trolley with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Matthyssen pleaded guilty to the charge.  Push The Trolley was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jesse's Jet was a late scratching at 2:54pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a sprain to the right wrist.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
