This event was rescheduled to start at 2:57pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Fabra Cadabra.
My Echidna, Bernmar Terry, She's A Beaut and Tiger Girl were quick to begin. Hurricane Ben was slow to begin and took no competitive part in the event. She's A Beaut and Tiger Girl collided soon after the start checking She's A Beaut. Sunset Queen checked off She's A Beaut approaching the first turn. Tiger Girl and My Echidna collided on the first turn checking My Echidna and Fabra Cadabra. Fabra Cadabra and Tiger Girl collided in the home straight causing Fabra Cadabra to race wide.
Hurricane Ben was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana, the trainer of the greyhound Hurricane Ben. Stewards deemed the performance of Hurricane Ben unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Hurricane Ben must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
