Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Suitress.

Quink was quick to begin.  Paw Sa Prize was slow to begin.  Dulcet Sound, Chief Brit, Allen Pincer and Suspicious Sam collided approaching the first turn, causing Chief Brit to stumble and fall.  Paw Sa Prize crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Allen Pincer.  Suspicious Sam checked off Suitress approaching the home turn.  Suitress, Paw Sa Prize and Poker Brat collided on the home turn.  Allen Pincer checked off Poker Brat in the home straight.

Stewards noted that the muzzle on Suspicious Sam became dislodged during the running of the event.

Chief Brit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Meeting Comments:

Stewards conducted an inquiry into the Non-Arrival of Fetty Wap at the Geelong meeting on the 18th of November 2016.

Stewards heard evidence from the trainer Mrs. Andrea Dailly.

After hearing evidence, Stewards charged Mrs. Dailly in breach of Greyhounds Australasian Rule 86(o) in that the greyhound Fetty Wap was not presented for an event which in the Stewards opinion was negligent.

Mrs.Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge.

Stewards found Mrs Dailly guilty as charged and issued a fine of $500.00 with $250.00 suspended for 12 months pending no further breach of rule GAR 86(o).

In relation to the penalty Stewards took into account Mrs Dailly's honesty and the time since the last breach of the rule.
