Steward's Report
Destini Charger and Midnight Marzy were slow to begin. Swift Operator galloped on the heels Midnight Marzy on the first turn, causing Midnight Marzy to race wide, and checking Destini Charger, Swift Operator and Norse Bale. Swift Operator and Norse Bale collided on the home turn. Norse Bale eased in the home straight, colliding with and checking Swift Operator.
Norse Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms Heather Collins, the trainer of the greyhound Norse Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Norse Bale with marring. Ms Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Norse Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
