Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Snow Matter.
Rambo's Party was quick to begin. Spritely Boy and Diamond Maxine were slow to begin. Oakmont Octum was very slow to begin (3.5 lengths). Spritely Boy, Diamond Maxine and Snow Matter collided approaching the first turn checking Spritely Boy and severely checking Diamond Maxine; Diamond Maxine stumbled as a result. Snow Matter and Alpha Nyx collided approaching the home turn. Rambo's Party eased entering the home straight and collided with Flip. Rambo's Party eased in the home straight.
Rambo's Party was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Winter, the representative of the greyhound Rambo's Party regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Rambo's Party with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Winter pleaded guilty to the charge. Rambo's Party was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2()(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
