This race was delayed by aproximately 6 minutes due to a track inspection that was required after beavy rain.

Mr. G. Armstrong, the respresentative of Duporth Avenue declared a new weight of 36.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Duporth Avenue last raced at 34.0kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Arborstone.

Maroon Blitz, Freedom Fire and Rockin' Roller were quick to begin.  Spazzy Blue and White Diamond were slow to begin.  Freedom Fire and Gee Whiz Gran collided soon after the start checking Gee Whiz Gran.  Spazzy Blue and Freedom Fire collided on the first turn checking Spazzy Blue.  Maroon Blitz and Stella's Grace collided on the first turn.  Spazzy Blue checked off Maroon Blitz approaching the home turn.  Maroon Blitz raced wide on the home turn.

El Gran Camino was quick to begin.  I'm Livin' It was slow to begin.  Doogee stumbled soon after the start and lost ground as a result.  Ray Donovan and Emperor Cruz collided approaching the first turn checking Trigger Lee and Ray Donovan.  Doogee and I'm Livin' It collided approaching the first turn checking Doogee.  

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Belsham regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Emperor Cruz.  Stewards directed that Emperor Cruz be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to the starter, Mr. C. Moran after he activated the green light before all greyhounds were boxed.  The All Clear was delayed until the stewards panel reviewed the replay of the start to ensure no greyhound was disadvantaged.  The All Clear was then given.  Mr. Moran was reminded of his responsibilities as the starter and was advised that he follows correct starting procedures in the future.

Santa Cruz Moon was quick to begin.  Renberg, Turbo Chief and Spoil The Party were slow to begin.  Rub The Buddha and Kobe's Hand collided approaching the first turn checking Kobe's Hand.  Kobe's Hand and Turbo Chief collided on the first turn checking Turbo Chief.  Renberg and Daintree Rhumba collided on the first turn checking Daintree Rhumba.  McThumpa checked off Spoil The Party on the home turn.  Spoil The Party and Daintree Rhumba collided on the home turn checking Daintree Rhumba.  Renberg checked off Santa Cruz Moon in the home straight.

The Judges inadvertantly semaphored the incorrect numbers of 3, 1, 5 & 4.  This was immediately amended to the correct numbers of 3, 5, 1 & 4 before the All Clear was given.

Buckle Up Omnin was a late scratching at 11:17am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its right back muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Le Doyen was quick to begin.  Kiss My Fuji was slow to begin.  Booma Mikado crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Map It Out.  Snow Gypsy and Shake The Night collided on the first turn checking Snow Gypsy.  Le Doyen, Shake The Night and Booma Mikado collided on the first turn checking Le Doyen and Booma Mikado.  Le Doyen and Booma Mikado collided approaching the home turn checking Booma Mikado.  Shake The Night raced wide approaching the home turn.  Le Doyen and Booma Mikado collided approaching the winning post.

Rambo's Party was quick to begin.  Spritely Boy and Diamond Maxine were slow to begin.  Oakmont Octum was very slow to begin (3.5 lengths).  Spritely Boy, Diamond Maxine and Snow Matter collided approaching the first turn checking Spritely Boy and severely checking Diamond Maxine; Diamond Maxine stumbled as a result.  Snow Matter and Alpha Nyx collided approaching the home turn.  Rambo's Party eased entering the home straight and collided with Flip. Rambo's Party eased in the home straight.

Rambo's Party was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Winter, the representative of the greyhound Rambo's Party regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Rambo's Party with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Winter pleaded guilty to the charge.  Rambo's Party was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2()(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. White, the trainer of Hunter Rocks regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hunter Rocks last raced on 29th June 2016.  Mr. White stated that the greyhound was returning to race after an injury to its right hamstring and a spell.

Ribacola, Burnsy's Sam, Emi's Boy Badger and Superstar Jatt collided approaching the first turn checking Superstar Jatt.  Fallen Star and Zipping Faith collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Faith.  Burnsy's Sam and Emi's Boy Badger collided on the first turn.  Emi's Boy Badger and Superstar Jatt raced wide on the home turn.  Hunter Rocks and Dessie Walnut collided entering the home straight.  Fallen Star and Emi's Boy Badger collided approaching the winning post.

Fallen Star was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

All About Arby, Linny Morris and Rusty Mia were quick to begin.  Another Hope and Levenseat Bevan were slow to begin.  All About Arby and Linny Morris collided approaching the first turn checking Linny Morris.  Fiery Universe and Let's Go Billy collided on the first turn checking Fiery Universe.  All About Arby, Rusty Mia and Another Hope collided on the first turn checking Rusty Mia and severely checking All About Arby; All About Arby stumbled and caused Another Hope to fall as a result.

Another Hope was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its right hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Tricky Trey was quick to begin.  Bigboy Brownless and Radley's Reality were slow to begin.  Bigboy Brownless and Lumumba collided soon after the start checking Lumumba.  Vienna Pink and Lumumba collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Bigboy Brownless faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result.  Missy Miss and Lumumba collided approaching the home turn.  Vienna Pink raced wide on the home turn.

Bigboy Brownless was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Make That Call was a late scratching at 11:47am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to mild dehydration.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Try Me.

Aston Noir and Tekki Cloud were quick to begin.  Kiyoshi, Try Me and Max Roxy were slow to begin.  Kiyoshi and Try Me collided approaching the first turn. Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Watson, the trainer of Owen Banks regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Owen Banks last raced on 13th March 2016.  Mr. Watson stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a right hock injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Owen Banks trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 34.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.57.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.25 lengths.  Owen Banks was cleared.

Jesaulenko trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 8, weight 32.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.57. The greyhound won by a margin of 5.25 lengths.  Jesaulenko was cleared.
