Steward's Report
Mrs. P. Terry the trainer of Amlin Mystique declared a new weight of 31.1kg in accordance with GAR39(2). Amlin Mystique last raced at 29.1kg.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Terry the trainer of Amlin Mystique regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Amlin Mystique last raced on 12/09/16. Mrs. Terry stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an illness.

Kid Audacious was quick to begin. Johnny Wolf was slow to begin. Golden Hand, Brother Leo and Amlin Mystique collided soon after the start checking Golden Hand. Bar The Bullet, Brother Leo and Amlin Mystique collided on the first turn checking Brother Leo and severely checking Bar The Bullet and Amlin Mystique. Select Selwood and Crusader collided on the first turn severely checking Select Selwood. Golden Hand was checked off Johnny Wolf on the first turn.
Bar The Bullet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle and left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77):-
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the owner of Dr. Gidget regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dr. Gidget last raced on 11/06/16. Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A Dr. Gidget trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 28.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.51 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5 lengths. Dr. Gidget was vetted following the trial after the greyhound faltered approaching the home turn. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Dr. Gidget was not cleared.
