Midnight Kebab was quick to begin. Last Outlaw and Jimmy Got Style were slow to begin. Allen Occy and Podium Express collided approaching the first turn checking Podium Express. Silky Strings raced wide approaching the first turn. Mahjong Baby checked off Midnight Kebab on the first turn checking Lat Outlaw and Jimmy Got Style. Zyrah Rose faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Mahjong Baby checked off Last Outlaw approaching the home turn checking Silky Strings and Podium Express.
Zyrah Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated right hock. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
