Steward's Report
After a confirmed phone call at 5.35pm from trainer Mr. C. Russell Drafted was a late scratching due to car breakdown.
Barroom Express was slow to begin. Creative Cruise and Vista Kwazi collided soon after the start. Creative Cruise and Superior Swagger collided approaching the first turn. Tiger Butch and Miz Josie collided on the first turn checking Miz Josie. Vista Kwazi marred Grand Cayman in the home straight checking Grand Cayman. Tiger Butch raced wide in the home straight.
Vista Kwazi was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Selkrig the trainer of the greyhound Vista Kwazi regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Vista Kwazi with marring. Mr. Selkrig pleaded not guilty to the charge, Vista Kwazi was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
