Steward's Report
Miss Camelot was quick to begin. Lireva was slow to begin. Nilson Bale galloped on Dyna Mimi approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Mimi. Cordite Eclipse raced wide approaching the first turn. Lireva eased approaching the first turn, checking Miss Camelot. Elite Obama checked off Lireva on the first turn.
A sample was taken from Dyna Mimi - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr S Collyer, the trainer of the greyhound Lireva, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Lireva was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hindleg stifle and left hindleg groin injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Lireva with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Lireva was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
