Emio Bale was quick to begin. Lopsided and Santa Cruz Moon were slow to begin. Cosmea and Paddles Anderson collided approaching the first turn. Emio Bale and Tommy's Tune collided on the first turn, causing Tommy's Tune to fall. Cosmea and Santa Cruz Moon collided on the first turn. Paddles Anderson contacted the running rail on the first turn. Santa Cruz Moon checked off Lopsided approaching the second turn.
Tommy's Tune was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle and right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
