Elite Diva crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Smiley George, Burnt Fuse and Flying Bolt. Scorcher, Dimple Way and Magic Diva collided approaching the first turn checking Dimple Way. Scorcher checked off Magic Diva on the first turn. Flying Bolt, Smiley George and Capacity collided on the first turn checking Flying Bolt and severely checking Capacity, Smiley George and Burnt Fuse, Capacity tailed off, Smiley George and Burnt Fuse fell as a result.
Smiley George was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
