Go Jacko Go and Wally Portelli collided approaching the first turn checking Go Jacko Go. Wee Bella, Unavoidable, Hot Samba and Boppin' Dazzler collided approaching the first turn. Wee Bella, Unavoidable, Hot Samba, Boppin' Dazzler and Go Jacko Go collided on the first turn. Boppin' Dazzler galloped on the heels of Tuncurry Kiwi on the first turn checking Unavoidable, Boppin' Dazzler, Tuncurry Kiwi, Wee Bella and Go Jacko Go. Go Jacko Go galloped on the heels of Wee Bella approaching the home turn severely checking Wee Bella which stumbled and tailed off as a result. Boppin' Dazzler and Tuncurry Kiwi raced wide in the home straight.
