Steward's Report
La Porsche was slow to begin.
Sweet Millions, Ruby Tuesday and Belfort collided soon after the start checking Ruby Tuesday. Ruby Tuesday checked off Wally Portelli on the first turn. Bet Bet Tahlia and Sweet Millions collided approaching the home turn. Bet Bet Tahlia, Wally Portelli and Kraken Aid collided in the home straight checking Bet Bet Tahlia. Wally Portelli and Kraken Aid collided several times in the home straight causing Wally Portelli to become unbalanced.
Wally Portelli was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind muscle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Kraken Aid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right pencil muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. McDonald, the trainer of the greyhound Kraken Aid. Stewards deemed the performance of Kraken Aid unsatisfactory in the home straight. Acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Kraken Aid must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
