Lucky Chic and Magpie Lily were quick to begin.  Dynamic Heat, Jazzy New Year and Lunar Magic were slow to begin.  Hendo Blue and Love The Grub collided soon after the start.  Hendo Blue, Love The Grub and Cosmic Mercury collided soon after the start.  Cosmic Mercury, Dynamic Heat and Jazzy New Year collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Love The Grub and Magpie Lily collided approaching the home turn checking Love The Grub. Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the representative of the greyhound Magpie Lily regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Magpie Lily was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hind pencil muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Magpie Lily with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge.  Magpie Lily was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stealthy Swift was quick to begin.  Kiyoshi and Azza were slow to begin.  Kiyoshi and Heads No Tail collided approaching the first turn.  Trigger Trim checked off Rockin' Rhonda approaching the first turn.  Kiyoshi and Heads No Tail collided on the first turn checking Every Cloud and severely checking Heads No Tail; Kiyoshi and Azza fell as a result.  Tekki Hail clipped the heels of Stealthy Swift approaching the home turn.

Azza was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder and left wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. L. Hellmuth, trainer of Waynewright declared a new weight of 40.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Waynewright last raced at 41.2kgs.

Dr. Dawn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left chest muscle and both monkey muscles.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. G. Barnsley, trainer of Bar No Blue declared a new weight of 31.7 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bar No Blue last raced at 32.8 kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Barnsley, the trainer of Bar No Blue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bar No Blue last raced on 13th July, 2015.  Mr. Barnsley stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after a short spell.

Zsa Zoom was a late scratching at 12.54 PM by Order Of Stewards. Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Lieshout, trainer of Zsa Zoom, regarding the incorrect greyhound being presented to race for this event. Acting under GAR 86(o), Stewards charged Mr. Lieshout with presenting the incorrect greyhound to race, which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr. Lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Lieshout was found guilty and fined the sum of $500. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account a recent penalty imposed on Mr. Lieshout under similar circumstances.

Black Selandra and Dr. Mortisha were quick to begin.  Bar No Blue was slow to begin.  Black Selandra and Skye collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  In This Way and Fiesty Fairy collided on the first turn.  Skye checked off In This Way approaching the home turn.  Black Selandra raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Skye was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr. R. Cameron, trainer of Better Beware declared a new weight of 28.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Better Beware last raced at 27.0kgs.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Brooks, trainer of She's Exciting, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. She's Exciting last raced on 14th May, 2015. Ms. Brooks stated that She's Exciting is returning to racing after sustaining a tail bone injury when in training recently.

Tekki Cloud was quick to begin.  Hello Lyn was slow to begin.  Fallen Star crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Macey's Queen, Where Are We and Uno Rae; Where Are We stumbled as a result.  Our Miss Penny, Hello Lyn and She's Exciting collided on the first turn checking She's Exciting.  Where Are We galloped on the heels of She's Exciting approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Hello Lyn raced wide on the home turn.
