Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Retention.
Extra Kisses and Juggernaut Train were quick to begin. Retention and Howie Bale were slow to begin. Hurricane Jen was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Extra Kisses crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Delta's Magic and severely checking Eagleeye Norris. Rentention, Howie Bale and Delta's Magic collided on the first turn checking Rentention and Delta's Magic. Howie Bale and Petite Fleur collided approaching the home turn. Eagleeye Norris raced wide on the home turn. Retention checked off Petite Fleur entering the home straight. Hurricane Jen tailed off in the home straight.
Hurricane Jen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana, the trainer of the greyhound Hurricane Jen. Stewards deemed the performance of Hurricane Jen unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Hurricane Jen must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
