Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Run Rosie.
Crazy Barret and Need A Zac were quick to begin. Westcoast Boy, Rotter Damm and Run Rosie were slow to begin. Westcoast Boy and Rotter Damm collided approaching the first turn checking Westcoast Boy. Need A Zac checked off Lola Allen on the first turn. Beetee and Rotter Damm collided on the first turn checking Beetee and Westcoast Boy; Beetee faltered and lost ground as a result. Meeniyan Jet galloped on the heels of Run Rosie on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Run Rosie raced wide on the home turn. Lola Allen and Rotter Damm collided in the home straight.
Beetee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right wrist and left calf muscles. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Westcoast Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to its right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
