Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Vassallo, the trainer of  Sloan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sloan last raced on 24th June 2016 and is returning to race after a right shoulder injury.  Mr. Vassallo also declared a new weight of 26.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Stylish Chief last raced at 24.8kgs.

Lebron Slam, Sloan and Janray Eagle Eye were slow to begin.  Bambalam Tilly and Blue Deception collided soon after the start and again approaching the 250 metre mark.  Blue Deception and Lebron Slam collided at the 250 metre mark.  Bambalam Tilly and Lebron Slam collided at the 200 metre mark.  Blue Deception checked off Lebron Slam approaching the 150 metre mark.  Gold Rush Dozer and See Sixty Three collided at the 150 metre mark.  Bambalam Tilly and Lebron Slam collided several times from the 100 metre mark to approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Eagleeye Norris.  

Santana, Big Roman and Eagleeye Norris were slow to begin.  Big Roman checked off Assemble Nitro soon after the start.  Eagleeye Norris and Assemble Nitro collided at the 300 metre mark.  Big Roman checked off Virgil at the 250 metre mark and crossed to the outside as a result.  Eagleeye Norris and Unusable collided at the 200 metre mark checking Eagleeye Norris and Assemble Nitro.  Assemble Nitro and Unusable collided several times approaching the winning post.

Santana was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Superior Bobby was slow to begin.  Alouette Jack and Can't Be Caught collided at the 250 metre mark.  Duke Of Dallas and Mendacious Lad collided at the 200 metre mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Schwarz and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to his late arrival to the kennels to prepare the greyhound Duke Of Dallas for racing, pursuant to GAR46(1).

El Gran Camino was a late scratching at 7:49pm, By Order of Stewards.

A pre-race sample was taken from Princess Briana.

Ace Gone Wild and Apollo Greed collided soon after the start and again at the 300 metre mark checking Apollo Greed.  Princess Briana crossed to the inside at the 250 metre mark and collided with Apollo Greed; both greyhounds were checked as a result.  Ace Gone Wild and Shakin' Leo collided at the 150 metre mark.

A sample was taken from Splash Of Blue, the winner of the event.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Stylish Chief and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:33am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. R. Matthews was fined the sum of $100.

Bear Magic and All Inn Tops were slow to begin.  Mayfair Miss and Leinster collided soon after the start.  Leinster and Bazz Kebab collided soon after the start. Bedlum and Mayfair Miss collided at the 300 metre mark and again at the 250 metre mark.  Leinster and Bazz Kebab collided at the 250 metre mark.  Bedlum and Mayfair Miss collided at the 200 metre mark and again at the 150 metre mark.  All Inn Tops, Bedlum, Mayfair Miss and Bazz Kebab collided at the 100 metre mark checking Bedlum, Steinbeck Knew, Mayfair Miss and Bazz Kebab.  Leinster and Bazz Kebab collided several times from the 100 metre mark to the winning post.  All Inn Tops marred Bear Magic approaching the winning post checking Bear Magic.

All Inn Tops was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Duncan, the trainer of the greyhound All Inn Tops regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged All Inn Tops with marring.  Mr. Duncan pleaded guilty to the charge.  All Inn Tops was found guilty and Stewards suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Patchie Bear and All Inn Africa were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Patchie Bear and All Inn Ky collided at the 300 metre mark.  All Inn Africa and All Inn Ky collided at the 250 metre mark.  Heaps Of Boloney and Sacred Of Sharks collided approaching the winning post.

Tzar Norma was slow to begin.  Miss Tron and Selynya Kev collided soon after the start.  Renee Boucheau and Better Beware collided at the 200 metre mark. Better Beware, Miss Tron, Renee Boucheau and Selynya Kev collided at the 150 metre mark checking Better Beware.  Tzar Norma, Better Beware, Miss Tron, Renee Boucheau and Selynya Kev collided at the 100 metre mark checking Tzar Norma, Better Beware and Renee Boucheau.  Selynya Kev galloped on the heels of Boo Shan at the 50 metre mark checking Boo Shan.

Acey Boy was slow to begin.  Jersey galloped on the heels of As Sweet As at the 250 metre mark checking Jersey, As Sweet As and Wise Harry.  Galaxy Star crossed to the rail at the 150 metre mark checking As Sweet As.

Mr. S. Humphries, trainer of Fiery Miss declared a new weight of 27.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Fiery Miss last raced at 25.6kgs.

Seraph, Glen Mika and Strummer Expresss were slow to begin.  Seraph crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Glen Mika and Blue Fusion collided approaching the 200 metre mark and again at the 200 metre mark checking Glen Mika.  Fiery Miss and Blue Fusion collided at the 150 metre mark.  Strummer Express and Madambash collided at the 150 metre mark.  Donkey Tron raced wide throughout the event.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Seraph became dislodged during the running of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Schwarz, the trainer of  My Waverly Queen regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  My Waverly Queen last raced on 29th May 2016 and is returning to race after a spell.

Bless 'Em All and Arctic Blaze were slow to begin.  My Waverly Queen checked off Bambalam Emma at the 100 metre mark.  Arctic Blaze and Paper Cuts collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Cornell and reminded her of her responsibilities in that she failed to organise a catcher for Bless 'Em All, pursuant to GAR 48.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dunlevey, the trainer of  Valletta Chief regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Valletta Chief last raced on 28th June 2016 and is returning to race after a right tarsal injury.
