Kinloch Stunna was quick to begin.  Tanjira and Jersey collided approaching the first turn.  Grandis, Jersey and Kinloch Stunna collided on the first turn, checking Kinloch Stunna, Jersey and Tanjira.  Bobby Tron and Arcup Archer collided on the first turn.  Kinloch Stunna, Jersey and Fast Boloney collided on the first turn, checking Fast Boloney which collided with Jersey, causing Jersey to be severely checked as a result.  Kinloch Stunna brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.

Jersey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

On arrival at the starting  boxes Oh Lele Simon was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and was passed fit to race.  As a result, this event started 4 minutes late.

Melodramatic checked off Sacred Diamond soon after the start.  Crackerjack Pest crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Sacred Diamond, Midwinter and Thermal Expanse.  Melodramatic checked off Peyton Paradise on the first turn, checking Peyton Paradise and Mum's Gem.  Mum's Gem and Melodramatic collided entering the back straight.  Sacred Diamond checked off Midwinter approaching the home turn.  Mum's Gem and Peyton Paradise collided on the home turn.  Mum's Gem and Midwinter collided approaching the winning post.

Unquestionably and Dance Craze were slow to begin.  Minority, Smiley Sam and Domestic Girl collided soon after the start, checking Domestic Girl.  Unquestionably and Domestic Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Unquestionably clipped off the heels of Domestic Girl on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Anna checked off Minority approaching the home turn.  Zipping Anna and Smiley Sam collided on the home turn.  Minority and Unquestionably raced wide on the home turn.  Zipping Anna and Crystal Cameo collided approaching the winning post, checking Crystal Cameo.
