Stewards spoke to Mr K.. Blake handler of Harry Cho regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Harry Cho last raced on 9th of June 2016. Mr Blake stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.

Green Jersey was quick to begin.  See Sixty Three, Reek and Caleb's Boy were slow to begin.  Harry Cho and Sweet Shiraz collided approaching the first turn checking Sweet Shiraz.  Reek galloped on Harry Cho on the first turn checking Harry Cho and See Sixty Three, See Sixty Three raced wide as a result checking Sweet Shiraz.  Little Mischa raced wide on the home turn.

Supa Shalala was quick to begin.  Wild Hunny, Nitric Acid and I'm Livin' It were slow to begin.  Nitric Acid and I'm Livin' It collided on the first turn checking Nitric Acid.  Wild Hunny and I'm Livin' It collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  I'm Livin' It was checked off Wild Hunny approaching the second turn and stumbled losing considerable ground as a result.  Dr. Dunstan was checked off Dr. Squidley on the second turn.  Supa Shalala contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.

Vanity Affair and Parisienne were quick to begin.  Can't Believe It and Akina Blitz were slow to begin.  Magic Neo went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Rorter and Our Wild Emily collided on the first turn checking Our Wild Emily.  Akina Blitz raced wide on the first turn.  Vanity Affair and Nikita's Blaze collided approaching the second turn checking Nikita's Blaze and severely checking Vanity Affair, Our Wild Emily was checked as a result.  Nikita's Blaze and Can't Believe It collided on the second turn checking Nikita's Blaze.

Regal Bulldog was quick to begin.  Unconventional and Spazzy Blue were slow to begin.  Unconventional and King Billy Bolt collided soon after the start checking Unconventional.  Just Wing It, Unconventional and Fashion Boots collided approaching the first turn checking Fashion Boots.  Regal Bulldog and Bronelly Duke collided on the first turn severely checking Regal Bulldog which faltered and tailed off.  Just Wing It, Unconventional and King Billy Bolt collided on the first turn checking King Billy Bolt and causing Spazzy Blue and Fashion Boots to race wide.  Just Wing It and Unconventional collided approaching the home turn checking Just Wing It.

Regal Bulldog was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Ima Big Unit and Loader were quick to begin.  Dr. Watson and Akina Dee Jay were slow to begin.  There's Steamy and Somebody's Image collided soon after the start checking Somebody's Image.  Somebody's Image and Akina Dee Jay collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Akina Dee Jay raced wide approaching the second turn.  Dr. Watson, Loader and Texta Arandt collided on the third turn checking Loader and Texta Arandt.  There's Steamy galloped on Akina Dee Jay on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Dr. Walter was quick to begin.  Corroboree was slow to begin.  Proven Joey was checked off Dr. Peregrine approaching the first turn.  Doogee was checked off Corroboree on the first turn.  Proven Joey and Corroboree collided on the first turn checking Proven Joey.  Survino was checked off Doogee on the first turn.  Proven Joey and Corroboree collided approaching the winning post.

Grand Cayman was vetted following the event on request of the handler.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a corn on the left foreleg leg, no stand down period was imposed.

Sutton Club and Avon Power were quick to begin.  Dr. Poppel and Daintree Alice were slow to begin.  Avon Power, Lilly Of Laguna and Anjing Betina raced wide on the first turn.  Daintree Alice and Lilly Of Laguna collided on the third turn checking Lilly Of Laguna and severely checking Daintree Alice.  Dr.Poppel and Avon Power collided on the home turn.  Avon Power eased approaching the winning post and collided with Dr. Poppel checking Dr. Poppel and Dr. Dynomite.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Norden the trainer of the greyhound Avon Power regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Avon Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Avon Power with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Norden pleaded not guilty to the charge, Avon Power was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dr. Ohwoe and Mirror Reality were slow to begin.  Dr. Simon and Almani Fury collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Simon, Almani Fury, Dr. Ohwoe, Miss Sim and Mirror Reality.  Bossy Caleb and Dream Wave collided approaching the second turn checking Dream Wave and Opal Latte.  Almani Fury racaed wide on the home turn.

Boris Lee was a late scratching at 1.34pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Joni Sunset was quick to begin.  Dr. Balboa, Daicos Magic and Angry Alley were slow to begin.  Dr. Balboa, Daicos Magic and Californa Levo collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Balboa.  Daicos Magic and Californa Levo collided entering the back straight checking Californa Levo.  Dr. Balboa faltered in the back straight and tailed off.

Add 'Em Up and So Far Away were quick to begin.  Uncool Albert, Cowboy Jury and Stately Kay were slow to begin.  Better Beware and Stately Kay collided approaching the first turn.  So Far Away crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Superstar Jatt and Better Beware.  Better Beware and Stately Kay collided on the first turn checking Stately Kay which stumbled.  Cowboy Jury was checked off Stately Kay approaching the home turn and fell.  Superstar Jatt raced wide on the home turn.  Better Beware raced wide entering the home straight.  So Far Away crossed to the rail approaching the winning post checking Add 'Em Up.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Wood the trainer of Ravenwood regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ravenwood last raced on 2nd of May 2016. Mr.  Wood stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following being on season.

Miss Georgia May and Rusty Mia were quick to begin.  Snowy Hunt was slow to begin.  Rusty Mia crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Miss Georgia May and Rosie Bronx.  Ravenwood, Miss Georgia May and Rosie Bronx collided on the first turn.  Roshani's Dream galloped on Ravenwood on the first turn checking Roshani's Dream and severely checking Ravenwood.  Ravenwood and Snowy Hunt collided on the first turn checking Snowy Hunt and severley checking Ravenwood which stumbled and lost ground.  Rosie Bronx and Our Jess collided approaching the home turn.  Rosie Bronx raced wide on the home turn.  Lucky's Spirit raced wide entering the home straight.  

Miss Georgia May was vetted following the event after the greyhound faltered approaching the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left hock, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting comments:-

Kennels closed 15 minutes late due to a delay in the kennelling process caused by intermittent loss of the internet connection.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Orr the trainer of Loves It regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Loves It last raced on 18/03/16.  Mr. Orr stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right back muscle injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Loves It trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 35.1kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.05 sescs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.75 lengths.  Loves it was cleared.

Walk On By trialled over 315 metre from box 8, weight 29.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.05 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 6 lengths.  Walk On By was cleared.
