Sajetti was quick to begin. Toothless Homer was slow to begin. Abbie's Dream checked off Surely Not Me approaching the first turn. Yessa checked off Eaglehawk Beffa approaching the first turn. Surely Not Me checked off Sajetti on the first turn. Abbie's Dream, Baltic Valhalla and Yess collided on the first turn, severely checking Abbie's Dream, Yessa and Toothless Homer, and Toothless Home tailed off as a result. Sajetti and Eaglehawk Beffa collided approaching the home turn, checking Baltic Valhalla and Sajetti. Abbie's Dream, Baltic Valhalla and Sajetti raced wide on the home turn. Yessa raced wide in the home straight. Surely Not Me tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr R Rowe, the trainer of Surely Not Me regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
