Uncool Albert, Senor Laurie and Clovalley Rang were slow to begin. Watta Good Dee, Mohinga Max, Total Blonde and Premier Wally collided approaching the first turn, checking Mohinga Max, Total Blonde and Premier Wally. Mohinga Max galloped on the heels of Total Blonde approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Premier Wally, Clovalley Rang and Uncool Albert raced wide entering the home straight. Mohinga Max and Total Blonde collided several times in the home straight.
