One Dee, Midnight Ride and Bearville Azza were slow to begin. Chancy Be Smooth, Le Luca and Benta Bale collided soon after the start. Pocket Kings, Midnight Ride and Bearville Azza collided soon after the start checking Midnight Ride. Le Luca checked off Chancy Be Smooth on the first turn checking Pocket Kings, Benta Bale and Le Luca, severely checking Midnight Ride which raced wide as a result. Pocket Kings checked off Spring Grace on the second turn. Pocket Kings checked off Le Luca entering the back straight. Benta Bale checked off Spring Grace approaching the home turn.
