Sally Gardens crossed to the outside approaching the first turn checking Callum's Mum, Beks and Esparza. Sally Gardens checked off Ryno's Raider on the first turn. Shall She Rock and Ryno's Raider collided approaching the second turn. Callum's Mum and Esparza collided approaching the second turn causing Esparza to race wide. Shanlyn Lucy and Sally Gardens collided on the third turn. Ryno's Raider and Coulta Rock collided approaching the home turn. Shanlyn Lucy checked off Coulta Rock on the home turn. Shanlyn Lucy, Ryno's Raider and Coulta Rock collided in the home straight. Shall She Rock checked off Ryno's Raider in the home straight and collided with Coulta Rock as a result.
Following the event, Coulta Rock collapsed in the catching pen. The greyhound was pronounced deceased by the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon. As a result Stewards ordered that samples be taken and an autopsy be conducted in accordance with GAR 78.
A sample was taken from Beks, the winner of the event.
