An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Wolf Spy engaged in this event on 31.08.2015 pursuant to GAR 79A
Elizabeth Steel trainer of Dust Maker redeclared a new weight of 27.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dust Maker last raced at 26.2kg.
A pre race sample was taken from Tammy Baxter.
Eyes Adorable checked off Tammy Baxter soon after the start. Tammy Baxter, Little Pookie and Paramount Arrow collided approaching the first turn, checking Little Pookie and Paramount Arrow. Wolf Spy and Dust Maker collided approaching the first turn. Wolf Spy checked off Banana Blanket on the first turn and raced wide, colliding with Eyes Adorable and Dust Maker,resulting in Dust Maker being severely checked and causing Wolf Spy to stumble and be severely checked.
Dust Maker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and left quadriceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
